This is a government-funded scholarship. It has been put in place for students who perform exceptionally well in their studies but face financial hardships. The Sri Venkateswara College eligibility criteria for this scholarship is that the student must have attained a minimum of 50% in their last examination. Moreover, the family income of the students must not cross Rs 2.5 lakh per annum. As part of this, students can get a concession of Rs 20,000 on their fee for one year and the hostellers can gain a benefit of Rs 1,000.
This scholarship is designed for economically weak students. If the family income of the students is not more than Rs 2 lakh and they have scores of at least 50% in their previous examination, they can apply for this scholarship. Rs 3,000 per annum along with maintenance of Rs 570 is provided for one academic year. Students can also renew this amount if they attain more than 50% in their end examinations as well.
The above scholarships are excluded from the Sri Venkateswara College DU fee structure.
